[In My Opinion This Is How I See It!]

Honestly it shouldnt be about race. And we all know this. But how many of us can actually say that we dont care about it without second guessing it. How many of us would be lieing if we said it didnt matter? Of course racism is a cause here everyone should just kill the false indignation and just accept that fact. For many race is a big
factor if not the main factor for their choice. I do believe that alot of the people who voted for Obama did so because of his color. I think thats very wrong and proves they are just like the others who insist race is a big ordeal. They expect other people to see eye to eye with them but they proved they are no better than the people who discriminate. Regardless of race, color, creed and everything else we should be focused on what really matters and thats what he will do for our country and how he will change it. People need to wake up and take a close look at America and the situation that the country is in, not to mention themselves. Im really not one who is big on politics and what not.And I cant say i fully agree with everything Obama does. But give him a chance color dont make a difference. White man has run this great country for over 200 years and look at the mess we are in.

I can say i dont care about race. its because obama is **** smart and doesnt sound like an blithering idiot like bush or palin. anyways, the "mess" isnt just because they're white, you're talking about race in this and you're being racist to white people (because those are the only presidents) implying that if they werent all white we would be all "fine and dandy"

-.-

Everything here has been said so many times before... BEFORE the election. Now he IS the president, he doesn't need to get a chance, because he has it already. He's got the power and he's not gonna lose it if people aren't accepting him.

Yeah, I got myself a lol out of that one. It's funny how some people post things.

Someone's colour doesn't determine their abilities. However, we must assume that white people can't be great presidents because the country is in a mess now.

I think I read somewhere that there has never been so many black voters as their were for Obama. I also got a lol out of that for many reasons. Race is a bloody issue, you can either realise it or not, but we do in fact still live in times where race matters to a lot of people. Eventually perhaps it'll die out, but being human, we tend to prefer things that are the "same" as ourselves, hence why we discriminate against others so harshly/stupidly.

Don't hold your breath, people are not inept at creating groups for themselves. So yeah, we're good at dividing our species into many different groups, all of which gives you a preference for yourself.

TANGENT>

Palin won't get into the white house by the way, isn't she the women that thought AFRICA was a country? I got a lol out of it.

as im not an american i cant say i hear all that much about certain presidents unless they do something really big, nixon for example is in the history curriculum
however like sunshine attack i must point out that you are being discreminant against white people/presidents inadvertantly prehaps but thats how iv perceived it
and this doesnt sit well with me as imo roosevelt was one of the greatest leaders this world has ever known (he saved our ass in WW2 LOLZ) so suggesting all white presidents are inept even as a brit doesnt sit well with me (although the last one was HILARIOUS and sattire envolving him shall be missed dearly)

Agreed. Thats what i was thinking when i read this last night. Just because a black man is going to be running the States doesnt make one difference than a white man running the country.

When I voted for Obama I voted cause he's got the right idea, we cant keep doing what we've been doing for so long and expect everything to be alright. Race should never matter but unfortunately to many people it does, I've been a victim of racism and it sucks so hopefully it ends soon...probably wont but we can hope.

i voted for obama because i know what it's like to grow up in sloppy communities, watch your parents struggle, and get criticized because the color of my skin. i believe he can do what he says and bring this country out of what bush dug us into. also, his health care plan seemed believable, and some of us really need this. oh yeah, he's also a soutside chicago sox fan, like myself. we have so much in common.

So being white makes it to where you cant be racist towards other white people? Wow, i wish my mind was as backwards as yours.
