Tree cum. This is an affectionate name an accquaintance of mine came up with. It refers to the massive amounts of pollen the trees are producing right now. This is the first year I've ever had allergies and I feel like someone has poured sand in my eyes and given my nose an enema. It's absolutely horrendous and I feel bad for those of you who have to deal with this year after year. I guess the only reason my allergies are existant this year is because the pollen count is at 800, compared to last year where it was at 100.
I haven't been on lately because school has been kicking my ass. It's horrible. I'm almost wishing I had been gaming nonstop because it would be an excuse for my poor grades. Instead the only cop-out I have is
"Well, neither of my instructors speak English very well and I haven't been in a math class in 5 years..."
Not a great reason, but I don't know what else to think. I have an A in my Physics lab but an F in the lecture. I obviously understand the material and the application of the formulas and theorems, I just don't understand what the professor in that class wants from me. He's Polish, very angry, and has an odd way of wording things. In Calculus I have two girls from China who have lived in America for a few years and are students themselves. They barely speak English and don't understand what we're saying to them half the time. Plus it took me about a week to figure out that one of them was saying variable when they were pronouncing it "vuh-rye-uh-bluh". It's a terrible mess and I'm paying thousands of dollars to be put in the steaming center of it.
Have any of you ever had communication problems like this at school or in the workplace?
