You can put Bottles Of Water (filled with water) around the parameter of your yard. one of the houses near me has those large gatorade bottles filled with water (with the labels removed of course).

I also heard that loud music especially harsh loud music like rock and roll, will keep them away.

well if u do anything suggested in this blog, u could end up with major lawsuits depending if ur neighbors are smart enough to know that ur "deterring" their animals. ur best bet is to call animal control and have the pets detained for their owners to claim them. this keeps u out of any legal responsibility of trying to handle the situation on ur own. even the red pepper flakes sound like a dangerous bit, the electric deterrer sounds safe but not sure how effective that really is. the more expensive option is putting the smaller "decorative" vinyl white picket fences that are like 3.5' or whatever. this way they find access to an easier yard to destroy. or u could even take video/pics of their dogs destroying ur yard, soiling it, etc and take them to town hall see what u can do in having the neighbors fined or forced to get kicked out since they are renting and the real owner of the house would be responsible for their negligence. personally id call a poop pick up agency and have them give a quote to ur neighbors for poop removal in ur yard. once u start harassing them financially about the situation, people usually jet n runaway or fix it. but id keep in mind no matter how frustrated u are at the animals doing the dead, its really their owners fault n they should be punished. i know ur just venting out of frustration about the issue in this blog, but it does come off a bit crazy. and if the neighbors ever found out about it n something happened to their dogs, again u got a legal battle on ur hands. so i say strike them finanically first.

The most harmless deterant I know is the smell of citrus, dogs hate it.
When we were training our dog not to be try and fight our neighbours dog (over a fence...)
we put a collar on him which sprays citrus scent whenever he barks.
That shut him up.. he learnt that bark = bad smell. :]

It doesn't harm the dog, they just don't like the smell.

We let our cat out on occassion, it will harass the neighbors for food every now and then and chase birds and lose fights with them...But mostly just uses the neighbors wooden flower bed block that our cat uses as a scratching post, when shes out their.

Buy "oxo beef cubes" and next time you know that it is going to rain throw a bunch of them throughout your neighbours yard. The rain will dissolve the beef cubes and they will soak into the grass, the dog should end up digging holes trying to get at the deliciousness haha.

There is a product called "Shake Away"...
It is a repellent made with coyote pee, and cats and such will think there is a predator in the general area.
I don't think it will work for the dogs.
I hear that stuff works.

But I also hear that the kind of cats/dogs that pee and poop in the neighbors yard...
Usually have protective eye gear.
Then they attack.

How are the dogs getting into your yard? As for deterrents, can't think of any at the moment.

It's our front yard. In America all front yards are open and most backyards have a fence around them.

the correct way to solve this is shoot the owner the animal is only acts like that because the owner dont know how to look after there animals so shoot them :) or at least brick there window and run yay it could also be wild foxes shitting everywhere

My parents have foxes that run around by their house. They don't get all the way out to where my house is.

This is what you do, and I know it works because I’ve done it myself and it worked like a charm. You get you some ground meat, and get you a glass bottle or two or three depending on many dogs and cats it is. Next, break the glass into small to medium size pieces, then put the broken glass into the ground meat and sit it out there for them. When they come over to shit in your yard again, it’ll be the last time. You’ll never have that problem again. It’ll be all kinda animals lying around DEAD! Hope it works! ; ^ )
