I'm reposting a blog that I put up about 2 years ago. GTP has been neglected big time (Prime example is new member's gamerscores are 0) and I wish to change that. I'm trying to get in contact with Zamees (owner/creator) to see what can be done. I hate to see GTP die a slow death..

Its almost been 5 (7 now) years that I've been a member of GTP now. GTP is way different from how it use to be (look/feature wise). If you're an older member you probably remember the MANY features the website use to have. We use to have fucking giveaways too!! ZAAMMMEEEEEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To all of the GTP Members, I give you.. The Evolution of GTP.

Let's start off with the year 2003.

The birth year of GTP.

2004 - New look and new features!

Who remembers the Skills, Hot, and Intro features!?!

Skills - I forgot if it was on a scale of 1 to 10 or 5 but anyways people would rate your skills.

Hot - Same as skills except people rated you on your looks.

Intro Wars - THIS WAS EPIC! People use to make awesome intros back in the day. So basically two people would go head on head with their intros and US the users would vote!! Who doesn't miss that?

GTP use have Premium membership. I believe you would pay about $5 a month? No wait.. I think it was $2.. I forget. ANYWAYS, Premium members got some extra stuff. I was one for awhile.

GTP No longer has these features.

SAD FACE.

2005 - Same layout, some minor changes.

2006 - New layout !!! :D

2007 - Same layout, minor changes

2008 - Skillz, Hot, and Intro features are gone. A point system is in placed. Basically the more active you are, the more points you had.

So these are the changes GTP has gone through these past years..

I really miss the features GTP use to have. I wish we could do premium memberships. I want intro wars back. I want the giveaways back.

What features do you miss the most? What features would you like to come back? What features would you like to see?

SO ZAMEES, please tell me what it would take to get this site back on it's feet?

I really would like to see this site updated again. I'm really into stats so the lack of accurate achievement tracking & Gamerscore tracking after 2011 greatly bothers me. Also fake profiles designed to spam other peoples profiles to get them to go to the messenger's website is a major turn off. A friend got me to originally join this site after its prime. Shortly thereafter I stopped using this site because of lack of support by the creaters & maintainers with 2 of the reasons listed above. However I came back to it almost 2 weeks ago due to a message I received. Unfortunately that message that I received was from a fake profile (PhiloMina). The above mentioned stuff will more than likely get me to go back to Raptr. GTP clearly isn't as active as it should be and if this site doesn't get moderators or administrators with full privelages that have same passion for this site or greater that the original administrators first had for GTP then none of the current problems will get fixed... if ever. I really hope you are successful Splashley as this site apparently deserves better & so do its loyal members. Good Luck to you on your efforts Splashley.

Only joined at the start of 2008, but i've seen some changes, and miss some of the older stuff. Logged on last week for the first time, in I don't know how long. Thought I'd be missing something.......guess not :/

I'm so happy someone posted about this! I've been wanting to for a while but for some reason it won't let me on safari. Anyways, I've been a member here since 2005 and used to absolutely LOVE the site! It's pretty crappy now, and I think when you have a good thing going, you should keep it that way. Although, maybe some bad things went down because if I remember correctly there was also a ms Zamees around helping with the site?

Also.... just to add, it seems like the whole gaming community has turned into something similar as this site. Lots of wannabe gamers, lots of trolls, lots of fakes...

Ive pretty much deleted my account on this site as its so bad now.... I lurk once every couple months to see if anythings changed.

I find it crazy that its been almost 7 and a half years since I created an account on this site....

If its true that Zamees is working on a new site, I think its a good idea....because I don't believe this site can be revived. Better off with a fresh new start on a new site, create something different....so that its not viewed as a cave for trolls....

Yeah I guess. Kinda hard though.

Also, this site probably starting having a pretty hard time when Facebook started getting popular.

Maybe it's just not financially worth updating.

I was in this site since 2005 under different GT's. The site as taking an ugly fall. Back then i use to enjoy logging on, The intro war was dope and the chatrooms also.
Now the site is full of dudes looking for women and females looking for attention.

Yall remember the asskicker? and plaid skirt?
