I have a wii and 2 xbox 360's.... my son (6) actually plays the 360 more than the wii.. He loves terrorist hunt on Rainbow 6 LV2.. Anyway.. both my 360's RROD on me within 1 week of each other, the elite was still under warranty and I fixed my release day one myself. Easy fix actually... it wasnt under warranty, so oh well, but it works great. They are my media./ entertainment hub.. I had nothing while they were gone, as I use them for netflix, internet tv through windows media center... etc... it sucked... But, I think games actually cause the RROD. I may be off but my son plays the hell out of it.. and I do to... But, when I put battlefield Bad company in to play, the 360, both of them sound and act weird. and they both RROD on that game.... no other game, just that game... weird....

Yea man that does seem wierd. I had a simialr incident with Nba 2k8. My luanch console would throw 2 red rings. I would shut it down and put a new game in and no issue. I believe MS knows that have alot of botchy systems and is just killing time for the next xbox. I have a halo 3 console and a launch console. Needless to say the launch has been kicking for a while now. Mainly videos are watched on it. I am with you when it comes to the games part. I think where the console runs at a high tempature, with the disc drive spinning I think it produces more heat and causes the consoles to go. The main component that goes is the Video Card. Mine went on my halo 3 and to this day I have sent 6 consoles back. I have 2 360's a Wii and the PS3.

Wooops BUY your Xbox at Best Buy. The extended warranty I believe on Elites is 49$.

Dude I have the extended through MS. Halo 3 360 and it took a shit on me lol. They supposibly fixed it but you know how that is. Best Buy went up they want like $79.99 for the warrenty.

That sucks WHY get it thru M$ when they only temp fix the problem PLUS it takes weeks, sometimes a month, when you can simply walk into a Best Buy and exchange it out for a new one?

Yep - unless Best Buy wants to try to fix it. MS is getting bad on these consoles. Always been like that since launch. If they are in the market for money and for the customers then they wouldn't have such a send back ratio. Don't hear this from PS3 users or Wii users. Only Xbox lol

I personally had to send my Wii to get fixed like on the 3rd day I had it, Best Buy will never fix them, it's always traded in for a new system.
