Today's Episode: What would you rather, a maid or a chef?
How about a chef's maid or maybe even a maid's chef? I would have to go for a chef. My father was a banker for most of his life but for a couple of years he owned a restaurant (which is how I came to live in the city where I live in now). I was only 7 at the time but my father wanted his son to feel like he was helping out by making me a dishwasher.. well, kind of - my older brothers helped me but at the same time, I wanted to be a cook. The chef at our restaurant would let me sit there and let me and another brother watch and learn. I still remember things he (and my father) taught me to this very day. I would like to thank the chef, his name was Ed, he was an older gentleman at the time when I was 7 so I quite possibly imagine he is mostly likely dead now. I still think of him when I cook certain things - remembering how I was a little boy in his father's restaurant being a chef's apprentice. Wonderful memories.
So tonight, I'm taking it easy (cooking wise) and making tacos, everyone from GTP is invited...
In gaming news: Didn't do much gaming, I think i'm getting sick (ugh) but I did manage to squeeze in a little Guitar Hero World Tour on the PS3 (GASP!) with Shanna and then Guitar Hero 3 with Webzilla until my wrists became totally numb... wait, that didn't sound right! Anyways... thank you for the fun.
At work, I seem to being finishing that big order ahead of schedule (go me!). It should be ready to go by this Monday (a week earlier than expected). Then there's talk about me going out doing the shows this year (this is how we get most of our customers). So if that's the case, I maybe seeing you all in Seattle, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Hawaii. There's just one problem... I'd be away for like three months and I absolutely hate flying so I will most likely turn it down... besides, who's going to run the asylum?
Good day to you all.
