Its ridiculous. I was just watching a BBC thing on how the size of the lip plate determines how much cattle is obtained when the girl gets married. In some tribes, this IS aesthetically pleasing. Ahh humans...lol

Ya man you will be suprised what some americans do. Its just not in other countries.
I know acouple years ago i had a roomate who was a part of this group called Body rites.
And man him and some of his buddies would have body mod parties where they hang from hooks

I was Youtubing around and saw this piece the BBC did on the lip plates. What revolted me was the amount of people leaving comments like, "Maybe some day those young men will realize the women don't have to wear plates to be attractive. Good for that girl that doesn't wanna get one!" The only reason they're saying that is because THEY don't find it attractive. It's just silly...these are the same people that would show them a super model and go, "this is pretty". As if the aesthetically beautiful is the ONLY kind of beautiful. I guess that's just how a lot of us work. I get worked up over dumb shit like this lol. And yes, a friend of ours crucified himself a couple weeks ago for a show. He showed me scars. They were brutal. lol
