Do you think that people who have only ever had one relationship in their life (ie. married their highschool sweetheart) are missing out on anything ? For example... is the experience of having a strong relationship break down an important life lesson ? is the person who's never had to experience a breakup REALLY a lucky person ?

In my own oppinion most if not all chilchood sweathearts relationships breakdown/fail. I know our first ones -we willnever forget and now that im grown up i am somewhat glad we never stayed together because he too wouldve been a waste of time. but no i dont think married sweethearts are missing out -if u truly love each and have stayed together then brilliant.

I think when your an adult you see the true colours in people and know whats right or wrong for the decisions to make-because when younger we dont think about it other than fancying this person,thinking he is the one (but who is The 1)

we all learn from mistakes of other relationships and see in others where and why we go wrong -to try and make the next one not go the same way or correct the mistakes weve done. This is important to remember so to not have more failed relationships.

but within relationships -you learn about your partner -the likes and dislikes -not everyone is the same and thats how the relationship is built

i wouldnt have minded just the one ever relationship but sadly we all know they dnt work out because sometimes we just simply never got to know our "mates" fully before taking the plunge-yes ive made mistakes that i can never undo or i wish i waited a lil longer . At the end of the day i tested different bfs and iknow now what i do and dont like in a guy. most of em will be just friends others potential but hey we all find love one day -as of right now i am happy being single after a7yr relationship- i enjoy the company online of males -thats good enough for me -i dont need a man in my life but i will say i miss the company -not the sex part (but yea its missed alil) but just mainly the conversations or the hugging -being close being part of the family life.

most problems are cheating, violence ,constant arguing. or dam obsessive?posssesive ?i think ive had 3 close to marriage relationships- lasting from 6months -7yrs funnily enought the last 3 relationships lol.

if i do find someone -i just wanna settle down and be the family we should , no arguing ,no fighting just pure sail through relationship!(like thats gonna happen)

You are wise. I do think in any good relationship there WILL be arguing from time to time, but good people who crae will work through it - and rather quickly. You are a wonderful shiela and deserve to have a wonderful relationship with some lucky bloke!
