Yay! They have released the first details on "The Walking Dead" show for AMC!

 

"On Wed., Jun. 2 production began in Atlanta for AMC's adaptation of the Robert Kirkman comic The Walking Dead. The six-episode first season -- written, produced and directed by three-time Academy Award-nominee Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) -- follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, traveling in search of a safe and secure home after a zombie apocalypse."

I actually liked what Frank Darabont did with "The Mist".  I think he can pull off the character development for this series and make it about "In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally start living." Plus the zombie make up looks top notch!
