 Console Start-Up Memories

I'm fixing to take everyone back a couple of years when the gaming consoles were coming up in their primetime (and still are). For most of us, remember when we were like 10 years old and we use to love how our gaming systems started up? This was way before the console wars really started. Most of us owned Playstations and Nintendos then (including I) since Xbox didn't come out until the early 2000's. Back at the time, I use to just love how the PS1 started up. But what changed it all for me (and I'm sure some others) was when the Orignal Xbox hit shelves. Many gamers found 'Xbox' intimidating because how large it was (particularly the japanese) but I was quite fond of the design, if I must say. Not only was it new...it was large, green and black! Lol. Not to mention the first console that came with a built-in HARDDRIVE! Which changed gaming history. What really did it was when I saw an ethernet port in the back of my Xbox. Being the technology geek I am...awe set over me with how technical the Original Xbox was at the time. The rest is history.

Some of you may question "well the Playstation and Nintendo systems were tight too at the time." And I couldn't agree anymore with ya. Goldeye on the N64?! Man, I had friends over everyday! Crash Bandicoot, Tekken, Tomb Raider and the early Metal Gear Solid titles on the Playstation? I loved it, I loved it, I loved it.

Let's start with SEGA, 'cause you can't forget about SEGA! Everytime I think about the Genesis, Sonic comes to mind. ^_^

Though the N64 didn't have a real boot screen for the U.S. versions, we all remember the 'N' logo and our Mario games. N64 FOREVER!

I sure do miss the mid & late 90's and early 2000's of gaming. If I skipped a boot screen from a previous console, just let me know. I kept the 360, Wii and Ps3 boot up screens out for a reason, since they are current consoles and all.
