Maybe I'm on the wrong site.
To be posting about computer gaming...LOL
But seriously...I've really grown to love it.
I don't know when GTP decided to come back alive..
So thought I'd write an update blog about life ect.
So last week I got hired by Red Bull as a student brand manager..
It's kind of a crazy story. The week prior we had a tournament in town..and some of the Halo pros came into town. Well, Walshy hit me up and we had planned to hang out..but schedules never seem to workout.
Well, get a call...and he was like HEY we are out getting pizza at some place in downtown tulsa really quick..we'll be here for like 45 more minutes..And I literally almost didn't go because it was 20 minutes away and I had a crazy schedule that day between work and some other stuff. But I go...aaaaaaaah okay. I drove at the speed of light down there.
So I get there, just chilled and talked. Turns out the Red Bull student manager for Oklahoma was there taking care of the Red Bull sponsored Halo pros while they were in town. And we got to talking and told her baout what I'm involved with at my university. And she asked me to come for an interview and I was like OMG NO WAY REALLY?! and so I went this past week. And I got the job :) I was pretty
confident I would get the job..so while I was excited I already felt I
had gotten it..
Well...sitting in the interview...she told me I wuld have to go to another student orientation because of my surgery and schedule not coordinating.. Which I then find out...I'm being flown to Las Vegas for student orientation.
Is that not crazy?
A lot of stuf fin my life has been changing...and I can honestly say me giving God enough credit hardly ever happens...But he lets your life fall apart sometimes so that greater things can fall into place..even when they are so random! I'm so excited to work with Red Bull. I've heard so much about how they have impacted Dave's life and taken care of him...and it really is rather inspiring to work for a company that really cares about helping others..not just to promote themselves..but to really help them. I can stand behind that company goal anytime!
So other than that!...surgery next week. YIKES!
Then I worked at the GamExperience in Dallas. So fun hanging out with all of the PC Gamers, and sponsor staff. I was even entered into the Team Fortress 2 tourney.
SO FUN. And I absolutely love XFX. They were nothing but awesome to work for...
and the guys from AMD were hilarious! Here are somefun clips and photos from the event!
CRAZY awesome technology for PC gaming.
Played some TF2, Dirt 3, Shogun 2, Deus Ex:Human Revolution, Dragon Age 2 in 3D..
It was awesome! Check out the video for some gameplay footage on the projectors..
It was legit....I did pretty well once I got the hang of it...Steady steering.
