Our family is being stalked?
This happened yesterday, and we don't know what to make of it. At the very least it's kinda suss.
At around about 2:30 p.m., me and my brothers hear our door being knocked on, hard. I was sleeping on the couch, as I've been sick since Saturday, and my younger brothers were both sick upstairs too. We didn't make to answer the door, as we couldn't be bothered with who it was. The knocking kept on going for the next two or so minutes, in which my brother gets a look through the blinds as to who the guy was.
It was some middle age guy, with no uniform as such, with a crowbar in his hand, or at the least some metal implement. At this point we were like okay, this guy isn't here to repair something, as we haven't asked for one lately, and they always ring beforehand.
He goes to close our backyard gate, hard, for some reason. The blinds were closed, so he wouldn't have been able to see inside. I'm pretty confident he didn't go in the backyard, as I didn't see a shadow on the blinds.
We go upstairs, to try and get some more info as to who this guy was. He lingers around on the driveway for a while, due to the angle though, we couldn't get a picture of him. He then goes to his car parked across the road, a fairly large Toyota? 4WD, and sits there. For the next 20 odd minutes.
Then my mum comes home from work. Apparently the guy was looking at her pull into the driveway, as she told us. He then waits a few moments as she comes inside, before pulling up behind her car. At this point, I go outside, to try and get a look at the rego. Wasn't able to, and as he saw me, promptly pulled away.
And that's pretty much it. Don't know what to make of it. If the guy was here for a legitimate reason, he would've knocked again. If it was some house matter, somebody would've rung. Doubt it was a salesperson, because they just don't do that kind of thing. Anyone have any ideas as to what it could be?
Logan reckons I should get a metal baseball bat, just in case the guy pays us another visit. And that isn't such a bad idea. I'll touch on other significant things, like personal training, parents building a house, and other stuff in my next blog. Head's too meh at the moment to do too much of anything. Except maybe game a little.

Neither do I, but I might make some inquiries as to what items one can own. Perhaps give her some pepper spray or something?
And yeah, fortunate that. Finished my course last week, and if I weren't sick, wouldn't have been here likely.

The authorities are the best way to go, in a stalker situation, purely because it appears as though none of you are sure why this guy is lingering around. It could be something simple as mistaken identity, and it could always be worse. There is no reason to put yourself in danger because some creeper is playing peek-a-boo with your family, and if he has the gawl to come up to the door to knock with weapon in hand....
...that should be the first thing to tag as ' this isn't someone you can just 'talk' to..

It'd be great if it were mistaken identity, but then again, who is the guy really looking for then? Maybe upon seeing me, he realised different people were living in this house, but his intel would be pretty out of date, we've been here since last year.
Next time, calling 000 straight away. Question is, can he be charged for suspicious activity? Hope so.

I suppose the bothersome thing was that he saw your mother and still lingered around the house? If that's the case, it might not be that your family has a stalker but maybe one of your parents do.

The main thing to realise is to not do anything stupid, call the police and stay inside if he comes back again! My dad chased after my sisters stalker with a baseball bat and I had to stop him, if I would have let him beat the shit out of the guy, my dad would probably be in prison right now. I hope for your sake it was just some worker not doing his job correctly or something. If not, tell me and I wil fly over there with Blake and Jesse and kick the shit out of him :)

It'd be great if it was something meaningless, something non-threatening. That said, we've alerted our neighbours to it, just for a few extra pair of eyes on the lookout.
As cool as it would be having you guys coming over here and taking care of things for us, wouldn't want you guys to get charged either heh. Thanks for the thought though.

It does seems suspicious but the fact he pulled away when he saw you,well that could be a sign of either theres men in the hous -too much for him to handle or he got the wrong address for something.

The police station is like 7 minutes drive from here, so we could've called at short notice. Then again, a lot can happen in 7 minutes.

Shame we didn't get more info on him, we rung the police station afterwards, but they couldn't really help with our description.
We'll have cameras at the ready next time at the least.
