Today.....hmm...a couple interesting things happened to me today.  One good, one bad.   FIRST...the bad.....I was driving out of the supermarket today heading towards a stop sign.  It wasn't a 4-way stop...just a 2-way...my side and the one opposite me.....ANYWAYS....I went to hit my brakes...NOTHING!!!  I couldn't believe it.....soooo....I was heading straight for the stop sign with two cars coming in either direction.....neddless to say, i went STRAIGHT through it....swerving and trying to stop (already downshifted and all that crap...didnt help).  The people slammed on their brakes and, of course, beeped at me, swearing out of their windows....Like I could help it?!?!?!?  So, I glided to a stop and had to call and get it towed.  The brake line broke.  It was pretty damn scary....

On a better note...the GOOD news:  We have a mew temporary addition to our family.  (maybe permanent, lol).  His name is Chance (that's what we named him anyways).

He's basically a little twin of my older dog, Jake:

Chance (top pic)  was neglected, starved, and basically left to die.....the pound took him and spent 3 months fattening him back up and getting him healthy...only to have him put to sleep last Friday.  So, the woman at a neighborhood rescue grabbed him right before his death sentence was to be carried out but she had no room for him.  So, today, when i went in to get Jake's Flea control stuff and she asked me if i was interested or could take him for a few days or so because her rescue had no room.  So, I now have a 6 month old foster pitty bull....and he's the sweetest thing in the world!  I may end up keeping him, lol.
