Today was a great day in my Video Game Society life... I wouldn't have guessed it a week ago... Hell, even when I created this profile I wouldn't have guessed it... But never-the-less is was a great day in my Gaming world....
360voice.com (which hasn't recieved the blog it deserves from me here yet!) announced a new program called 360voice Community Experts. If you follow the link you will see it is a select group from their Community (5 People outside of the 2 Devs ChangeAgent & Fatty Chubs) that were recognized for our "contributions to the community and knowledge of the site." Thanx for the selection guys... I hope you never regret it!
I am more excited about this selection than beating Hexic, and let me tell you I was excited about beating Hexic... For now it means more responsibility on the 360voice Forums and a chance to edit the hell out of everyone... j/k I am really one of the worst people to expect to edit things... I believe in the right to express oneself, even if it offends others. But if a Ad-Spammer tries to get in on my watch I will be all over that!
The second really cool thing that happened is I was quoted in a News Article! I didn't even know it and was actually informed through the 360voice Forums by a friend (Major Flankage) and the irony is that the quotes were poached from the Forums... I didn't even know that News Outlets quoted Forums without informing people... But I am not complaining!
The Article is from TheRecord.com and is titled "Point Value". (edit: For Subscribers Only, I didn't know that and didn't even save it as an Offline Webpage... BOO!!!)
Here is the part that I am in:
Another American gamer, known as Mr Achievement, added: "The simple fact is that although the achievement system has made some of us into rats on a wheel chasing a piece of cheese that is always going to be out of our reach, for others it is just something that we enjoy doing.''
He went on to add that some gamers have found ways to boost their scores by cheating. But at the end of the day, he's still a fan. "Achievements are awesome and what keep me playing my 360 the most -- even with other evil consoles in the house.''
All in all, a great day...
