So the First Round in the 360GL.com Tournament is over... Instead of focusing on all the teams, I am going to focus on what I know...
I know that coordinating 32 people's schedule is difficult. This is obvious, but hey... Better said then left unsaid. I know that coordinating 32 peoples connections is difficult. Wow, the connection problems abounded... I know that losing sucks. I won't make excuses, we got out-played...
Each of the 8 Teams were to be together and ready to play at 9:45p Eastern... This was supposed to lead into a 10:00p Eastern Set of 4 Matches... Each Team was around at 10:00p, but since the Check-in process hit snags, well, the Matches all began late. They mostly started around 10:15p, but two teams had to hold on until 10:30p to start their match... Once all the Matches began is were any problems stopped. Everyone seems to have felt like things were fair which is a good thing.
So with tomorrow comes the Final Two Rounds... There is half as many teams so sheduling and connections should be less of a hassle, but who knows?
As for how Team Achievement did... Well, we got beat... down... We only had to play 3 of the 4 Matches before we were down by 8 Rounds and eliminated from the Tourney... It went like this,
Game 1: Lords of Heaven hosted a 7 Round-Warzone-Gridlock Match, it ended 7-4. Lords of Heaven wins...
Game 2: Lords of Heaven hosted a 7 Round-Warzone-Gridlock Match, it ended 7-3. Lords of Heaven wins...
Game 3: Team Achievement hosted a 7 Round-Warzone-Gridlock Match, it ended 7-6. Lords of Heaven wins...
So yep, Team Achievement couldn't buy a win tonight. I wasn't really hoping to win the Tourney... That would have complicated things for prizes and such, but I can tell you this... I didn't want to get beat down... Tonight wasn't our night...
