Congrats on your engagement. I'm glad to read that you've found someone again that you are willing to trust enough to be with. ^_^

In regards to getting over abuse the best thing I can recommend for physical abuse is taking self defense/martial arts classes to give you the security of mind to know that you are capable of defending yourself when noone else is around. In a physical conflict size is not as important as the knowledge of knowing how & when to attack & defend. In regards to overcoming mental abuse, counseling & the support of good people in reasserting what is not acceptable and not tollerating unacceptable actions is the most important help you can get. Although you can't change your past you can help prevent it from repeating.

As for getting an Xbox One, I would have to agree that it would be better for you to not give into the hype of immediately picking up a new console based of the time & passion that you no longer seem to have for gaming. Wait it out before jumping to the next gen as most of the kinks of any new electronic device occur in the first few months of its release. If you are a social gamer I recommend you picking up whatever the platform is that the majority of your favorite people get as gaming with your favorite people makes gaming that much better. :D

We all have our ups and downs in life, and sometimes even though we may get something better than what we had previously we should never settle for 'in the middle' always try to aim high! In this case being relationships, which is always about working as a team but it takes the best person in a relationship to confess when they are doing something that hinders it.

Personally forget about the Xbox One, Xbox 360 still has a few years left in it and its quite clear from what you have said that you spend all your time looking after your little ones which is always more important.

Hopefully I will have some kids someday, I would love to have my own that can pull me away from the current boredom aspect of gaming and its expense lol.

Ill be keeping my 360 and will be getting the PS4, fed up with Microshaft and their stupidity but I could rant all day about how buying another Xbox is a fools choice.

Target is having a Buy 2 get 1 Free sale on all Playstation 4 games during the launch week of the PS4. Not sure if it applies to you as I don't know if you have Target stores in your area/country but I thought I'd share it anyways as I keep on top of Playstation info for my brother who also prefers the Playstation over the Xbox but isn't very keen on gathering info online.

Ah cheers mate but sadly we don't have Target stores in England nor do we get black Friday deals in UK stores apart from Amazon UK who seem to 'participate'. Looking forward to the PS4 even more recently.

Thanks for comments guys I'm happy at the moment, Yeah the xbox one has some next next gen graphics but I guess I can't justify expense when I have me boys to buy for :) Also we are hoping to add a third nipper to my brood next year roll on FEB 2014 TTC will commence hehe x
