I'm a religious person myself and I'll jump in and agree that it was "religious fucks" who used lies, fear and hate to get prop 8 passed.

Here's an idea, how about we all practice our own religion (or non-religion) and leave everyone else alone.

It's these pathetic backwards people who give all other normal religious people a bad name. Is there any wonder that there are more and more Atheists out there with people like this as the self-proclaimed standard bearers for "religion and morality".

If the religious wanted Marriage to be outside the rights of Gays, then it should be de-void from law and therefore not public domain. This is just surpressing people's rights and it's just stupid how this could pass like that

Definitely agreed with you. It's so completely shameful. Honestly, love isnt about having a man/woman relationship. It's LOVE, thats it. You cant help who you fall in love with, it's just what makes you happy. I wonder whats gonna happen to all those couples who got married in California..like Ellen Degeneres. Is her marriage just not gonna be accepted anymore or what?

Of course I agree with you Hal, if you remember me from a long time ago (troll45), you would know that I think you're very down to earth and that you know what you are talking about.

You say gay marriage is a private matter and will never be taught in schools. Is that not what religion is? A private matter? Religion is not taught within the public school system; therefore, is it considered a private matter by your standards? With that being said, I come to the main point of my post.

Religion is a private matter according to you, so why are you blatantly preaching to us about "religious fucks" and how you're an atheist and how other religions are full of "brainwashing mumbo jumbo."
