I remember a time when opinions and beliefs people held, were discussed and criticized maturely, and not insulte and blasted immaturely. November 4th Barack Obama was elected president, and many express joy, and many express angst. For me, the immaturely recieved did not stop there. Last night, out of anger i made a blog about the banning of gay marriage in california. One patron (Not you Mr Site owner (: ), but another guy. He blasted me for atheistism and called me a "Socialist Bigot". I was not offended, i was disgusted. Socialism has been turned into this evil in the world, much like Communism. But, its not. It never was evil. Captialism made it evil, and the idea of socialist and communist ideals has always been an evil concept since. Instead of asking "hey, why are you a socialist?" politely, people will say "WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU SOCIALIST!". Not everyone believs in Capitalism, i dont. I believe in Democracy though, even though i may not believe it to be as stable as many of you come to think. My point being, if i dont follow the group, im suddenly an outcast. An outcast who believes in the ideals of America and the Constitution.

The constitution allows for thinking outside the box. In many countries, not just out own, people dont have that freedom. People are labeled and outcasted before their ideas and thoughts can be understood. The greatest minds in the world belong to men who were never fully understood. People never gave them a chance. Ghandi, Nelson Mandella, Martin Luther King, John Lennon, Julius Caeser, Socrates, Charlamayne (correct my spelling), etc. If you know any of these people, you will know they were criticzed and had to fight to be heard.

WHY must people be hostile and refuse to listen to reason?

I understand people react harshly to change and a different view, but progress is a huge part of humanity. ANd we NEED to come to terms and listen to all the sides. Arguing will get us no where. Listening and reasoning will.

If you have any immature comments and remarks about this, keep them to yourself. Im not here to argue

In the defense of the immature group. I honestly think it is a genetic defect. As hard as they try I do believe there is nothing they can do for their overwhelming stupidity. Lol I think the name calling is merely the fact that they only know how to spew useless junk, and then get angered because someone opposed but have nothing to back their theory up so they throw pathetic insults around to make themselves feel relieved. But what they don't realize is it's just digging themselves into deeper holes of unending moronic whining.

AND when I said "in their defense" That was a joke. =] Just innnn case some may not get that.

Alot of people have blown this election way out of proportion and would be immature about it regardless, which is pretty disgusting. It's supposed to be a joyous occasion for those voting for the first time can make a different but apparently that's not the case. I'm with Kevin and Eagle; the name-calling is unnecessary.
