Tell us about the city/town/village you live in
Tell us about the city/town/village you live in? Any interesting facts that it's known for?
umm... i don't really know anything about the town i live in now- Defiance, OH- other than it was a fort or something and there's a band named after it... the town i'm from though i know a bit about- Yuma, AZ. It's featured in a movie that was recently remade- "3:10 to Yuma". The Prison that they were heading to in the movie is the historic Yuma Territorial Prison. This landmark is ALSO where the mascot from my High School came from- The Yuma High Criminals. In 1910, students attended high school in the newly abandoned Yuma Territorial Prison.. The new school was completed in 1913, and thta same year they traveled to Phoenix, AZ for their first football game . to be cruel the rival team- the "Coyotes"- referred to them as the Yuma "Criminals". Yuma High stomped the other team and adopted the name to spite the other team. and so it was, that i was a Yuma High Criminal- and proud of it! =)
