A not so fun day

So I went to get cortisone injections for my messed up jaw this morning.

They gave anesthetic so they could jam needles into my jaw. When I woke up the doctor told me

"one of our nurses poked herself with a needle that she used on you, so you both need to get tested for hepatitis and HIV"

So I was all like FML.

I went to go get blood drawn and the women had a problem finding my vein. She poked around for a bit and I started feeling dizzy. Yes, I realize it is a little pansy-ish, but I am really scared of needles. She stopped for a bit because I turned sheet white. So I sat there drinking my water trying to not pass out waiting for her to come at me again. I told her I was ready and she says

"i'm scared you are going to pass out so you need to go to the hospital to have it done"

Soooo I went to the hospital, they got my blood and that now is being tested for disease.

When did she decide to bring it up? When did she remember/do it? Geez, that sucks, all the best that you didn't get anything. =)

that... sucks.. a) nurse 1 needs to learn to be careful.. and why would you continue to use the needle after you poked yourself? b) nurse 2 fails at her job an needs a new one.. but maybe sue first one's job? thats very neglient

Oh yeah, I guess that was a little dumb of her. Accidents happen though =) All is forgiven. At least she didn't poke me after she poked herself. That would be way worse.

OMG theres nothing that makes me more mad than a nurse that doesn't know how to work a needle!! Argh! Then the doc goes and tells ya you may have caught something!? I woulda been like "WHAT!? Whats that b* doing working around needles if she has something!?" then stab her in the eye! >:O

Well maybe not that far but blah! Anyway yea that's really scary! I'll pray the results come back negative I will :(

Needles are kinda' scary. I used to be scared of them aaaaaall the time. >.<

I hate it when the doctor or nurses screw things up or something.

You must have had a bad day... I would be kinda' annoyed if that happened to me.
