My PC is being sorted this weekend. Finally! It has been sick since the end of November, although I suspect it has had a few problems for much longer. I just have not had a chance to try to put it right until now. The hard-drive was formatted last night, and Windows XP re-installed. Over the course of the day, all the other programs I regularly use will be added back on. My desktop unit sits inside a cabinet, hidden away. I had some over-heating problems in the summer, so I have decided to add another fan while it is all apart. Also going to properly clean out the insides, and add a new DVD writer while the opportunity is there. I will hopefully be back online at the beginning of next week. Writing this on my old dial-up connection from work is a real pain.
