I would not ask Bush anything.
He is our President. Our Commander in Chief.
We voted him in office (well a little over 1/2 did).
Is there problems with Iraq? You betcha'.
Should we have gone in the 1st place? YOU BETCHA'.
Do we need to get out now? You betcha'.
But we can't just simply leave. No matter what, that is simply not a viable option. in me own opinion, we did what we went there for. To take down a regime and a rithless and murderess dictator who for 12 bloody years did not follow the sanctions levied by the United Nations. It was high time someone did something.
However, we did it. That regime is gone and the the Iraqi's setting upo there new government? They have not kept any of their promises and have done hardly anything to further themselves - in short - keeping us there. I say too bad. You have not kept your end of the bargain and it is time for us to move on.
We are at War. Not with Iraq or any other country or government. We are at war with Terrorism. That cannot be solved by staying in a country where a civil war is being fought. That is not terrorism against the world or us.
Me biggest problem with this whole thing is we went in under the giuse of Weapons of Mass destruction, when we really went in (legally) for the non-confirmation of 12 years of sanctions. That dictatorship had to go and it is gone. Time to move on. I'm glad we went, I'm proud that we stopped a madman from ruthlessly and thoughtlessly killing more of his own people at his own whim. But that is done.
The world is mad now. The morals and thoughtfullness have slowly seeped out of the (seemingly) majority of people across the globe. The United States is no different. Criminals have more rights than their victems. Illigal aliens fight for rights that they say they deserve, when they came to us illigally. People in general turn a blind eye to basic crime and incredibly are not bothered by it if it "doesn't effect them directly". Prayer is banned in schools. Symbols of religeon are banned from public spots. People always cry "seperation of church & state". Idiots! Tossers! That was written in our constitution because at the time, the church had as much power as any government, it was not to be used as it is today.
It seems that anyone who is even slightly offended by anything, can sue anyone. I'm sorry, but if you want a FREE country, people are going to be offended. Get over it. And now the Democrats want to pass legislation called "The Fairness Doctrine". it basically says that on radio airwaves, if anyone disagrees with a commentators or a DJ's words that they have a legal right to equal air time on that person's show to counter their point of view. Keep in mind, it is not to have any opposing viewpoint, but the person who was offended. I guess the democrats didn't read in the 1st ammendment where it says, "Congress shall pass no law restricting the right to free speech", which is exactly what this legislation does.
I'm not giving the Republican's a free pass either. Me biggest problem with polotics today is no matter what party a person is allected to represent, they are elected to represent the people of their township, state and country. But all of them seem to only fight for "their party", not the people. It's twisted. I swear if they take "In God we trust" off of our money, I'm moving again.
I truly think the only way to solve the problems in our government is to remove all of them, every last one. Then go place to place, finding Joe Shmoe who is pumping gas, Billy what's-his-name who is handing out ketchup packets, Suzie-shakes-alot who is waiting tables and so on...just your average everyday workers and family people and put them in givernment, where there is no presidence, and they will fight for the people. I know that could never happen, but it's a good way to fix most of our governments problems.
Back to Bush...I voted for the man, and I stand behind me vote. I am dissapointed with his bull-headed-ness and some really stupid moves. But I have no questions for the man. 1 year from November we will vote someone new in office, and democrat or rebulican, there will be problems. They will fight congress and the senate for "their party" the way it's been done for many years now. I just don't understand why they can't do the job they were elected to do - make this country a better place. But it seems the more we move forward, the faster we fall backwords. Always making new laws. Soon the only people who won't have special legislation for their rights will be W.A.W.M. (white, able-bodied-working men). Short people, fat people, people of different races, all have extra rights in their favor. That is NOT a country of people all being equal. I repeat, the world is twisted. I actually wonder how much longer I will still have the right to say what I think, God forbid I offend someone and get sued or arrested! bloody hell!
But it me own world, and your world too. I'll continue to make the best of it, and I will continue to game & have a blast as long as I am able. Speaking of which, I'm am going to go turn on me 360 now and regress into another world via me teli & calm me self down before I burst a blood vessell.
Cheers to everybody!
