Do you think its ok for a partner to tell there partner what to do/say/wear?
I don't believe in being a controlling person. I think there has to be a mutal respect between partners, and accept them for who they are. You fell in love with that partner. The one time you should ever step in, would be if that partner were wearing something a little revealing. But do not tell them, ask them instead, and express your feelings on why you feel that way. Communication in a relationship is key to a happy one. If you don't even have that - you have nothing to stand on.
Now back to watching Married with Children on TV Land and taking care of my parents house.

If your partner is to ask you to not do something and can give a decent reason for it, you should compromise for their sake.
A lot of it boils down to what you are willing to do to satisfy the feelings of your partner. It works both ways, both must compromise, it's where a lot of people fail.
If you respect someone enough, you'd not -tell- them what to do. I couldn't respect someone who would do as I told them anyway.
