I have a wireless 3G phone dongle for my internet.
All this time I've been stuck with basic internet. Today, however, I found I can use it to connect to Xbox Live, tried and tested. UNFORTUNATELY, I'm supposed to be returning the thing tonight and so I won't have it :-| Damn.
I wrote a blog a while ago, but I clicked the banner or something and it deleted it, BLAH!
Hmmmmmmmm, oh well, maybe update another later.

I was thinking about how you can connect multiple PC's to the internet, and it dawned on me that you could use one as a gateway for the other. Then I thought about doing the same thing with my Xbox, which I also knew you could do. I wondered if I could do it through this dongle thing I have and looked it up. The first few said it was impossible, but I found one that said it was.
Low and behold, it works. I signed in and had a few games on Halo, pretty good connection, all depends on positioning though, which is a bit of an issue from such a small item.
So getting my own net connection is a little bit of a distant reality at the moment, so the only option I have is to use someone elses. Unfortunately, the equipment I have for such a task is a little underpowered and could really use a boost.
Again, looking up and around has led me to a few pages in which you can modify a satellite dish to pick up WiFi signals from MILES away. It's kinda precise and has to be pointed with a great deal of accuracy, but once you have it, it should be fine. Looking through the details and tools needed, it seems that it wouldn't be too difficult to do. My dad is very handy with making stuff and even better, the dude who tried to fix my harddrive (which I STILL don't have back) loves to do things like that, and would be willing to give us a hand.
That was, until we found an easier solution. Just gotta see what I can do first and hopefully I can find a decent-er connection for some smooth gaming.
Little by the little the impossible seems alot more accomplishable. Everything falls into place at some point. You gotta be patient, keep a clear head and be ready to deal with whatever comes your way. You can't let things get to you, or bother you. Happiness above everything, life is too short to be unhappy.
My aunt has been in hospital for 2weeks after her stunt in which she messed up her leg and nose, along with all the broken bones. Well while she was in there, they found that she had a blood clot in her leg. Blood clots are no stranger to my family, as my sister, has four in her leg. They're both on the same injections for life. The problem comes from my aunts determination to avoid being medication dependant. However, they told her that if she doesn't take them, she will be dead within 6weeks.
Too be honest, I'm surprised they haven't tried to remove her leg. That's the kinda condition it's in. Anyway, the other day, she had a bad turn in which she had to be given Morphene (?) My other aunt went to see her and the nurses didn't even mention it. If it wasn't for the woman in the next bed, no one would've been none the wiser. When she brought it up with the staff, they said that she should inform the family that she's in a bad way.
So, she did, she told family and all that, stirred up a little concern amongst them all, for everything to be back to normal the next day, infact, she was looking better than she ever had before. This whole back from the death-bed, is her thing, she does it alot, I'm sure it's all an act, a put-on to drum up some attention, some worry.
I don't know, I dont' wish to speak ill about her, but you know, sometimes, somethings just don't add up and you gotta wonder how and why she keeps managing to go from one extreme to the other. The thought of her dying would be a shock for me. It seriously would be a case of "holy hell, I can't actually believe she died" like a "finally" kind of thing. Not to seem heartless or anything, but I've been expecting it and watching it for so long, it's like she's never gonna go. All the power to her though, you know, I ain't trying to get her in her casket or nothing. I dont think it'd bother me one way or the other.
That actually sounds really cold, but that's basically how it is.
