I hate the weather, I hate rain and wind the most. I'm not obsessed by it, I just hate it. It affects the mood of myself and everyone else. Some people love the rain, others hate it, some like lightning, others are scared by it. It's a universal thing, there will always be weather, weather rain, sun, or snow.
Speaking of which, I got caught out in the most horrible downpour I've ever been in. and that's saying something coming from an Englishman. But yeah, it was raining when I went out in the first place, was not mightly impressed at that point, but it was a journey that I did have to make. If I didn't have to go, but chose to anyway, the rain wouldn't have seemed so bad, but because I did HAVE to go, it kinda makes everything more .. wet.. needless to say, when I actually stepped outside it was too late to turn back, I was already wet and to go back inside would've turned into a pointless inspection of the rain at close range. So I carried on, I realise now, that a jacket would've been appropriate, but I didn't have one with me.
It was bad, heavy, bouncing off the floor, the wind was pretty bad too, you could see the rain at a slant, but you didn't truly appreciate the power of the wind until one is nearly blown into the road. It was pretty amazing actually. So I got to where I was heading, took of my woolly hat and squeezed the excess water out, sat down, gave to my sis what I had to give her, played with my niece a little while, and then headed back on my way.
Within the space of twenty minutes the rain was coming down twice as hard as it was in the first place. Walking back down the hill with the wind in our faces was crazy, it was literally stopping us from moving at a steady pace. About half-way down and my arms were numb, my jaw was stiffening up and my neck got tense, my whole body was aching, wasn't pleasant. The second I got inside I changed and jumped infront of the fire, it took the longest time to warm up and to get rid of the numbness. Now, as I look out the window, the rain has stopped and there is barely any wind, I'm p*ssed. If I'd have waited, I'do have been fine.
I think people are obsessed with it because it's something that has the power to affect your day. And in extreme cases, your life. It's important to know what the weather will be like so you can take precautions, or just enjoy your day.
I decided to look one more time for my phone... I couldn't find it, high and low, left and right, searched everywhere. Even in places I've never been, but nowhere to be seen. So I've got a new contract with Vodafone, the Samsung F700. Not a bad phone, touch screen, camera and more importantly, a full qwerty keyboard. I love the phones with a slide away keyboard, look coooooooooooooool. That'll be here sometime in the next week, funky!
We'll that's all for now folks. Stay Gooood
