Left 4 Dead - After a few issues with the download (Percentage kept going back down for some reason) I finally got a hold of the demo which went on the Marketplace today, or yesterday, depending on how accurate you wanna be. Anyway, I was eager to play this game, I don't think I've ever played anything like it, unless you count Horde from Gears2? Which coincidentally is a new feature to the new game... Hmmmm... idea jacking from the Gears people hmmmmmm? Either way, I was a little concerned that the game style, game play, was gonna be a little fast for my likings. I mean things like, Timesplitters, Quake, etc, they move to fast for me, not that I can't play them, I just don't like to. But it's not, it's a little quick, but not to a crazy degree.

The premise of the game is simple, 4 people, kill zombies, reach safe room at the end of the map. Select your character and away you go. Start off on a roof top, work you way through a house, lots of zombies to shoot, very fast paced, hectic, the way a game should be. Get into the street and there are even more zombies, lots and lots of them, watching each other's backs is essential. Definitely worth a download that's for sure. I'll be picking this one up, definitely.

Who's got this and what y'all think?
Need'ta get a co-op game going!

i only have one problem with the game, friendly fire. really sucked when a team mate blasts you with a shotgun. i hope we have the option to turn it on/off

Piss everyone off..? How would you do that...I mean everyone is entitled to their opinion. Thats the great thing about this particular forum..you won't get the hate mail if you say something bad about a game. Most people just blow it off. So don't worry...say your peace. Just don't talk about anyone's mama...and you should be fine..lol. As for the game..graphic wise...to me it doesn't have to be super realistic. I like the mental aspect to this. Apply it to the "What if" and see what happens to your group of infected fighters. Remember this is only the demo...I'm sure there will be last minute tweaks to it up until release. I'll wait to give my complete review once I get to play the full version.

Wow I really hate to be the annoying guy to disagree with everyone seemingly with the intent to piss others off but I have to heavily disagree. I played the demo and had more complaints then I care to even mention ranging from the tempo of the game, to the graphics of the zombies to the not-so-accurate weapons. (I shot a shotgun into the gut of a zombie who was had his teeth already halfway to my brain and somehow miraculously missed) Some games seem ahead of their time but Left 4 Dead in my opinion plays outdated even before releasing.

Theres more than a few people that I know have it. Me, Warhawk, Keyalon, Heffer, Stephanielol, bucky, to name a few. I'm always ready for a game. In fact me buck are gonna get a game tomorrow. The game itself is awesome..anyone who knows me, knows how amped I am about this game. Turn that difficulty level to Expert and let the games begin. WOOT! And to think...this is only the demo...and the demo is only a faction of the full level. Game of the year...? We'll see.
