Landed Back Again.
In what almosts seems like a re-telling of recent history, my aunt has landed herself back in hospital. Lately she's been on a sliding scale of good and bad in regards to how her overall bad health is hitting her. In other words, she's been handling it well, but she's not doing good in general. I'm not entirely sure how long she's going to be in, most likely a day or two. How did this come about? Well, while I was out, I get a phone call, she tells me she's just woke up from passing out and is having trouble breathing, I'm like "Umm... okay" because my aunt really does exaggerate things, but at the same time, there's not much I can do for her from my current location (Or indeed, from being there anwyay) so I suggest her phoning the ambulance. Now to her credit, she doesn't argue with me, and she does phone them. She asks me when I'm coming down because she thinks she'll be taken to hospital, I was in the middle of something, so I said 10minutes, and 5minutes later I was on my way down.
As I was coming down, I saw an ambulance coming up the street. I thought to myself, "I wonder if that's been to my house to check her up" as I'm walking down the hill. Basically she wanted oxygen, she "feels" she needs the oxygen to make her feel better and help her breathe. Now, I've tried this stuff, and personally, for me, it doesn't do a thing, and I mean NOTHING. It's just like breathing normally, it doesn't make it easier, so I don't really understand the purpose of it. But apparently for her, it helps. So she's been after getting tanks of the stuff to be delivered every so often, as that is what she used to have. However, they won't give her it (By them I mean doctors, etc) Because they have a white cell count test thing, to determine whether it would be beneficial or not. To her, it would not be, science concluded. So no matter what, it can't be prescribed to her, and she's not cool with that. She'll ask for it, drop hints that it makes her better to Doctors and other people, but so far no luck. I'm thinking the ambulance would check her over, let her use the oxygen and then be on there way. NOPE.
One way or another, and I'm not sure how, because I wasn't around at the time. They decided that she does need to go to Hospital. She obviously thought this too, as she seems to have gone without a fuss. When I got home, around fifteen minutes later, I found her gone and realised that she was in the Ambulance that passed me. So she's in for the night at least, tomorrow I'll take some clothes up for her and see if she's in for the long haul again. Although, it's a selfish reason, and I get a rest, it does also make her alot better when she does get out after a week or more in there. They help her take medication (not insulin though) That she normally wouldn't take at home and she'll come out feeling alot better, which is naturally important.
I feel she brought this whole thing on herself though. I know she wasn't feeling well, but she's handled that kinda thing for years. The last few weeks saw her getting worse, but then that eased up and she was relatively okay. She was going out a little more and that made her feel better too. What I think caused this is stress. My aunty Liz (Elizabeth) is the one I care for. My other aunt, (Rose) is one I don't see very often. Liz has been going up there a few times lately, not much but, still several times over the last two, three months? All without incident.
Yesterday though, was different. I had a friend staying over and she decided she'd get out the way of us for a few hours, and go see my aunt Rose. I wasn't one to argue, so I said okay and off she went. My aunty Rose, is what I'd call... an alcoholic. Some people beg to differ, some people say she's been there but now just likes to drink occassionally, some deny the whole thing and believe she's never been and isn't. But for the purpose of this, she's an alcoholic. She drinks alot, which I guess is the reason I don't see her much. My aunty Liz however, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, etc etc. And normally doesn't go up when Rose is drinking. Yesterday, she was drinking, but my aunty went up anyway. Not because she wanted to get out of our way, but because she was just couped up and wanted to get out. So she went, and the whole day went without incident, she fell asleep up there, my grandad was up there drinking with her (he's not an alcoholic) and my aunt' Roses boyfriend was drinking too. Everything went okay until she was leaving to come back home.
Then something kicked off with them both. I can't really decipher what happened because my aunt tends to exaggerate (I'll give you an example in a minute). But from what I "believe" happened, the past was brought up and then my aunty Liz, (In her own words) "gave Rose some home truths." Not sure how long this went on for, but "apparently" When my aunt got back, she'd left my other aunt it tears. I didn't want to get involved either way, and she was unwilling to give me details, which means to me, it was probably a fight about nothing. But my aunty was wishing my other aunt dead. Saying stuff like "If she dropped dead tomorrow, I wouldn't care" and stupid crap like that, which was making me angry. As my aunt was, what almost seemed like boasting, about the arguement, she said that my aunt Rose said (I'm sorry if this is confusing) "So, is this another 20years you're not going to talk to me", to which my aunt "apparently" retorted "no, this is never again". Now, 20years? She NEVER stopped talking to her for that long, maybe a few years because they were never close enough to go see each other, and didn't bother to get each others number, but not even a few years. Hell, even if you consider the last few visits null and void, they used to live together like TEN years ago, for about three years. And that is what I mean when I say my aunty exaggerates about everything.
She told me she didn't care, and it was of no concern to her. But she was in a bad mood all that night, and this morning, but not with me at all. She just didn't want "help" from anyone, and didn't want to talk to anyone or tell anyone where she was going (She drove around on her scooter this morning without actually saying where she was going). So the stress of the situation is what I believe got to her, and the irony of the situation is, she was wishing my aunty Rose to die, where, all the while, she's the one who could keel over at any minute. I have no sympathy for her either. Knowing what she's like and how she acts when things don't go as she wants them too, I'd say she started it, and escalated the whole thing, and is ultimately paying the price. However, I'mma keep my mouth shut, my head down and hopefully that'll be the last I hear of it.
I did have a friend stay last night, so I'm not sure if that was pretty awkward for her. Not only was my aunt in a bad mood, but she was up most of the night in the bathroom boaking, and being sick and such, which isn't fun for me to hear, nevermind anyone else. Y'know? All in all it was cool though, we gamed a little, watched "Fear Of A Black Hat" (Hip Hop Parody) and some Ross Kemp On Gangs. This afternoon, she went back home to her neighbourhood, or "Da Hood" as she likes to call it, because she's laaaaaaaaaaaame. :D
Also this morning, my copy of Star Wars : Force Unleashed came this morning. I was told that the game got bad reviews over the other side of the pond and saw one G4 video that pretty much gave the game two stars! Which is basically the reason I never watch that kinda crap, because they don't know what they're talking about. I think the game is pretty damn awesome and I'mma get to playing some more after I'm done writing this. I was trying to sleep (Had a busy day) but that didn't happen and here I am. The game looks good, it's hella fun to throw things and people around, you can change your lightsabre colour (which I thought was pretty funky) and the upgrade thing is sweet too. I can't wait to get further into it.
Ross Kemp is a TV actor. He played a "hard man" in "Eastenders" (Grant Mitchell). He is relatively well known to the country and anywhere else the show airs. Though he's not in it no more, he'll always be remembered for that role. Anyway, he has a show, which is in it's fourth series now, called "Ross Kemp On Gangs". He travels the world to meet and find out about real gangs, mostly in third world countries, where it's not just about "repping your territory". It's very interesting, and he sometimes lands himself in dangerous situations, if you're into downloading torrent files and such, I recommend them. Informative and intruiging. Good stuff.
Okay I'm done, I'm sorry this is a little long, and probably annoying to read, but blah. Hope everyone had a nice day, no doubt looking forward to your weekends. Stay Good, and stay safe
