The other day I realised that the PGR4 demo had been put up. I got my 360 a couple of months ago and decided against getting PGR3 because it was pretty old, even though I was a fan of the franchise. So I set it to download and played it a little when I got home on Wednesday night. I played one map both with the Bike and with the Elise. The bike was hard to control and initially I wasn't a fan of it. But the Elise was awesome, and I knew right away that I was going to get this game. The problem being I was pretty much broke until next week, so I wasn't expecting to be able to afford it until mid-next week. I managed to scrape it together though and set of into town to get it. After a hell of a wait in Argos (where I went because I thought it'd be alot quicker than the gaming shops) I got my game.
I started the Career and tried the bike that was available, crashing and burning about twenty times before I finally got the hang of it. I love the idea of being able to race with Bikes or Cars and soon went online to play with others. My first game was Cat And Mouse, which is pretty cool if you like the game. It was made up back in the days of PGR2 and involves 4teams of 2cars, one fast and one slow, the aim being for the slow car to win the race whilst avoiding the other teams fast cars. The fast car trying to take down the other teams slow cars and stop them from winning. It was great fun playing with a load of friendly dudes who knew what they were doing and all got along well. After a whole race of being ahead I was neck and neck at the finish line and ended up losing to another team by a split second, crazy stuff. A few games of that and I was ready to go back to the single player. I've won a few cups already, unlocked the Bulldog game for the mulitplayer, which kinda works like Tag, touch a car when you're it/bulldog to make them it.
I think the best thing about the game is that on multiplayer you don't have to unlock the cars and bikes to use them. They're all freely available for you to drive/ride. It's definitely a great game and worth buying and it's simple to play. There is no customisation or tuning, just even, fun racing.. not like Forza2... meh.
As for an animal, I don't really know. I'd want to be something cool, Tiger, Lion, panther, they're awesome. Something out in the wild.
I guess that's all on the matters at hand, I'm probably just going to play a little Gears before going back to PGR4, see if I can find some people who wanna race and no C&M or Bulldog. Wanna Play? let me know, all good
