I picked up Civilization Revolutions yesterday, for me and my brother. We both played the demo and loved it and couldn't wait to get our hands on it. Definitely what I was needing to breakdown the FPS' that were dominating my gaming habits. (Though, on that note... I'm doing very well at COD4 again). The game has an incredibly slow pace about it when you're playing with someone else and can get a little hectic when you got more units on the map than you can shake a stick at, but it's still awesome. My first game took about 4hours or something, if not longer to finish, and even then I only quit because I was tired and needed to sleep. Woke up and straight back to it.
I've noticed that the game discs seem to be alot thinner and rougher these days, as opposed to games I bought earlier on, or bigger releases. It feels like they could snap in your hand if you're not especially careful with them, I'm normally very careful with my games, NEVER leave them in the console and always make sure they're stacked tidly where they can't topple and fall. However, earlier on, I did drop the Halo3 disc, I was pretty annoyed with the game by that point anyway so I didn't really care. I did find out though, that Wuch and I, cannot win at Double Team... blah.
Anyway, my aunt got out of Hospikal on Monday. She's looking, and feeling alot better. Thanks to all those who have wished her well recently, it is greatly appreciated. She seems a little calmer than normal too, a little more independant, though not fully, but that was never likely to happen. They say she's got water on the brain, and suffered a heartattack. According to her, anyway. Just some more stuff to add to the pile of conditions I guess. Back the old routine really.
Man, I started writing this blog yesterday, it's been open all night. I just kinda forgot about it. Social Services are talking, allbeit, rather loudly, to my aunt right now. Trying to get some things sorted for her. My aunt like to share her story with people, I can gaurantee, she will tell them shortly, about the time she fell of her Mobility Scooter thing... there it was... and at some point they will here about the time she "Died" on New Years Eve, and they brought her back. She doesn't half exaggerate sometimes, great stuff. Makes me laugh. Soon as these people leave I can go back to bed, I'm too tired for this.
I spent about six hours on Civilization last night, one game. Took forever, but I dominated the entire game from the get go. There is a huge problem, the game tends to end around 2100AD, which can make it difficult to finish the game through the means it provides, I'll get the hang of it soon. Until then though, Ghandi is a great Political and Military leader, ruthless, and powerful! My favourite character.
What is it with people and trying to get their own way? I mean knowing who I am, knowing me well at that, how I act, react, deal with certain things and then trying to push something on me, they know I don't like, then act like the victim when I tell them no? I'm stubborn like a mule, I won't do anything I don't want to do, but somethings I make clear to people from the start. Just so that there is a level of understanding between us, though somehwere along the line, they try to change that. Weird behaviour.
I need a new Headset, and a new Harddrive. Mine's uncomfortable and the harddrive is getting filled with various junk. I'm just curious, How do you get your data from one harddrive to the other without losing anything?
Blah.
Sorry i completely missed this blog yesterday haha, Good to hear your aunt is back, and doing ok. And im the same, take no as an answer and dont try to sway me, cos it annoys hell outta me, i guess it's just ppl thinking they know best for you or whatever, but still your an adult, they should just accept no and leave it.
If you buy the 120GB hard drive, it comes with a cable and disc that will transfer stuff - very simple. I think the font needs to be smaller - us older gamers' vision arent the greatest you know... lmao
Glad to hear about your aunt mate. Also, told you Civ's was a fun game. The pace is slow at 1st, or if you are just focusing on 1 city, but when you have a bunch, whoa - it's hectic!
