   1am last night I was laying in bed on MSN and watching Family Guy on my laptop, when the ground starts shaking like crazy. I mean, not enough to know it was an earthquake as it happened, but in retrospect, you knew it was. When my laptop runs discs it tends to shake a little, and at first I thought it was that going a little crazy, but that pretty much calmed within seconds and for a few more seconds I could feel the vibrations, and then as quickly as it started, it was gone.
   I kinda threw it in conversation on MSN, thinking that I had imagined it initially, "The ground just shook..." when the person I was talking to said the same, that's when I realised what it was. Not that it was huge or anything, only lasted about 10seconds, but it was the first time I've ever experienced that and honestly, I was p*ssed that I wasn't stood on the floor when it happened, so I could literally feel the ground shaking under me instead of through the frame of the bed, oh well.
   I checked online and saw that a large portion of the country felt it, and then went to sleep. I got up this morning and went to see my niece. The news was on and it was showing the damage that had been caused by this ever so quick tremble. It was mostly bricks falling off houses, landing on the pavement, and pottery coming off walls and such. One guy who had a restored classic car in his drive found it had been crushed by a pile of bricks from his chimney, years of restoration work ruiined, I couldn't help but laugh, a shame really though. HOWEVER, the biggest laugh came from a woman who was interviewed briefly about it. She said something along the lines off "My boyfriend and I were in bed when it happened, everything started shaking, it even broke my bed. That's the first time the earths moved for me in." It was hilarious the way she said it, and I bet her boyfriend is gonna be mad about that.
   It wasn't all that big of a deal, it shook, it stopped, I basically missed it, felt the shake was a little amazed, and then not long after I went to sleep. I believe it caused my nightmares last night. I'm not sure what the deal was, but I woke up terrified, not thinking there was an earthquake, but believing there was a ghost in my room. It was the wierdest thing. I could've swore I saw things moving, noises and such. It really freaked me out.
   Also, my dad bought a fishing rod online, which turned up yesterday, he came down to pick it up, and to look at some more websites for his fishing hobby (It's crap if you ask me) He came down, and wanted to look at it right there and then. The thing was secured inside a HUGE thick cardboard tube that is about 7ft long. He took it out, checked it, happy with it, went online, bought some things and then left with the rod in a taxi, leaving the big ass cardboard thing here, behind my door.
   Now, what relevance does this have? Well, last night as I was fearing the spirits, I kept thinking that it was going to get pushed on me and I was gonna be killed. In actual fact, it's not even that heavy, it'd wake you up if it did indeed hit you, but nothing major. But all I could think was that it was gonna be pushed on me. All in all, the night got so bad, that I ended up sleeping with the light on, I say sleeping, but basically I was drifting in and out all night, my aunt came in at 5am to see why I was still up. I told her and she just looked at me, I asked her about the quake and she said she didnt' even feel it, I think she thought I was imagining it until she saw it on the news today.
   I was supposed to be getting tea/dinner, at a friends tonight, but she's not been feeling well so she's not cooking. I haven't seen her properly in a whlie and I promised I'd go down, I don't mind, but it has left me pretty hungry, since I haven't eaten anything all day, expecting to be eating alot. Always seems to be something wrong with her, which is a shame, kidney infection right now. She was given antibiotics that she's allergic to, but noticed so didn't take them, though now she has to wait for the new ones, all the while in crazy pain. If it doesn't clear up then she'll have to get tests done because they don't understand what keeps causing it, which means she'll be in hospital for a few days, which inevitably puts more weight on my shoulders. Not that I'm complaining, because it can't be helped.
   I'm not big on football, soccer for the Americans and everywhere else you have it backwards. But as (un)luck would have it, I live very close to our towns stadium (Blackburn Rovers). Anyway, every Sunday, or occassionally over days of the week, the roads will be packed with fans as they try to get as close to the grounds as possible. We've come to expect that someone will park right outside our house and we don't mind really. On Saunday however, a guy came to the door, and asked my aunt if it was okay if he parked there. We have a driveway that would otherwise be obstructed if he did, so he felt the common courtesy to ask first, very nice of him. Naturally my aunt said yes and he left his car. I told my aunt when she told me who was at the door, that you should tell him to park in the driveay and she agreed, she went to tell him, but he'd already gone.
   A couple of hours later and the guy comes back to find that his car had recieved both a wheel clamp and a parking ticket for some exceptionally dumb reason (The Lancashire Traffics wardens are notorious for giving a ticket on every situation) and was a little upset to say the least. He had no choice to pay the very high fine, I forget the amount, but it's safe to say he won't be parking round here no more. I couldn't stop laughing, it's been a good few days haha.

well when it happened i didnt know it was an earthquake but it shook me up xos i heard a bang, some silly noise over the wall-thiking it was cat, then when i think on more fett somewhat like a scratchin on the couch, thought it cat or son messing bout, only realise when everyone messaged me wht the hell it was. freakything id i and a friend were talking bout em yesterday
