Earlier this week, Tuesday night to be exact. My aunt died. This isn't a blog about getting sympathy or anything, but rather, the final saga in her complicated life. So my aunt had many health problems, Arthritis, Chronic Asthma, Diabetes, an Enlarged Heart, Water on the Brain, partially blind, partially dear. She suffered from Black Outs, memory loss, mood swings and many other things that I couldn't even begin to name without some doctor papers.
I was not shocked to hear of her death. At 3am when they came down stairs and told me. I was not surprised. I was not upset, I wasn't anything. I don't know if it was me waiting for her to die and growing to accept her inevitable fate, or because I just don't really feel things like that. But either way, it was a blow for everyone else.
My aunt died at around 10pm. Cause of death? I don't think I know. One thing, caused another, which caused another, which lead to her dying. This thing happens, her failing and permanently bad health meant it was bound to be sudden. But this wasn't. From her care home, she went to hospital via ambulance. These people picked her up at 3pm, in the afternoon. As shown by the paramedics with the heart monitor which is time stamed and dated. So for 7hours, my aunt sat alone in Hospital, and the care-home didn't contact any of use, even though they have my number, my sisters, fathers, aunts, and cousins.
There is no excuse for this, and there is outrage amongst us because of it. But it gets even better. The care-home folk "SWEAR" that she was still in the care-home at 8pm and was fine. Bare in mind, by this point, she had been in hospital for 5hours... with know one any the wiser. Also, Sunday night, the district nurse came out to see her, after family said she wasn't well. She came and checked her out and said she was fine, even though she was yellow and looking extremely unwell.
There is some kind of negligence going on that will probably not be investigated. On top of all that, we can't find her will either, so there's alot uf stuff going to be unaccounted for. We don't know who she's took it out with, what for, or if she changed it or anything. It's a very complicated situation.
Her funeral is on Friday. I don't think I'll go. I'm not one for them, morbid places, sombre and probably a few family punch ups. Besides, I'm at peace with the whole thing, I don't go in for the whole ritual of the dead thing. Watching her be burned to ashes isn't going to do anything for me, and being there will do nothing for her. I don't believe in the after life or anything like that, so it's not like I'm dishonouring anything, and if anything, I'm the only one with a right not to go.

On to something a lot less complicated. My Xbox - It's on it's way back to me. In what I can only describe as good service, they got my console after being in transit for three days. Took three days to repair and should be here for monday, Tuesday at the latest. I shall check later on where it's at. I shall put serious consideration into repairing the console myself next time, just for the hell of it.
Speaking of repairs, I broke my ipod video last year because of the headphones I was using. Granted, they were very loud and very clear, but they were also rather bulky, long and heavy at the jack. This resulted in my the inside audio piece cracking and in effect, making only the left headphone work, with a little bit of twisting. It didn't help with my attitude towards it's slow failure. While it was breaking, I found I could hold the jack to the left and it'd work. Eventually this method needed more and more pressure and finally gave way to it. I have pictures for y'all :D

This is My Ipod Video, My Ipod Mini from way back when, and Danii's Nano, who's battery I'mma replace.
She has put a lot of trust in me, which I believe may be misplaced, because I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing.. haha.

This is the Mini opened up. it's not broke, just missing the bottom, which makes it easy to do this.
Good for practice. Unfortunately, this doesn't help with the video as they don't resemble each other.

Before I opened it, and after I've finished with it.

Inside - Front.

Back

The back plate - with audio jack stuck down.

I didn't actually need to take the front off... I realised this a little too late though.

That black dot in the middle is the size of the screws :S
The little bits of white are from where I snapped it a little...
Still, it was a success and the replacement jack was little to no effort to put in.
Now I can get my headphones out of the box and set about listening to loud music
All the while slowly breaking it again.
Oh well, still worth it, totally.
anyways, that's all I got, hope to catch you for some games soon.
Stay Good and stay safe
