   Yesterday was the WORST day in a long long time. On the home front, everything is fine, I'm cool with everybody I know, no one is having any issues at the moment. So what could ruin such a peaceful existance? Ear infection? burst eardrum? The jury is still out on the exact cause of the issue, all I know is that on Tuesday it was okay, Wednesday nearly killed me. I take pain quite well, I don't like resorting to pain killers, even when the pain is extreme, but this, well last night was too much for me to take... it had brought me to a stand still on several occassions. After about 7 O'clock it started worse than ever. Bass noises are horrible, from the tv and music, no matter how loud it is it still hurts, even with the pain killers. I can't touch my ear without a shooting pain. Last night I was sat there trying to set up my 360 for Live. I'd set it up and was testing my connection. It failed a few times before it'd fixed itself, the next thing I know I was waking up, the xbox was still on the test screen, I'd clicked the refresh thing and it failed again. I just gave up and left it alone.I didn't have the patients to deal with that too.
   I went out like a light again, this time for about 15minutes, I woke up and went downstairs, sat down and watched TV. Decided to set up my Xbox downstairs and got Live to work immediately. Me and little brother were playing Gears Of War, I did okay last night, which was a surprise, every now and then it'd shoot through my ear again and i'd be holding my breath trying to power through it. I was up all night playing Rainbow Six Vegas, there was no way I could sleep, I've been up for the last 48hours.
   As for today, well things have got steadily worse, I can't even lay down without feeling the pressure in my ear go to one side, my jaw is in agony whenever I try to move it, I can't eat, talking hurts too. I'm trying to limit everything I'm doing, keeping the tv as low as possible, no music at all, and no talking on the phone. My sister phoned the doctors for me this morning and couldn't get me an appointment until tomorrow. I think by then my ear will have completely deteriorated. I really hope it's nothing serious, I love my music, If I was to go deaf in one ear it would severly reduce my love for it, and I can't imagine not being able to hear properly. Playing Xbox Live helps keep my mind off it, I can't talk at all though, because I can hear my own voice, and it seems like i'm not talking loud enough, and I don't want to shout down the mic or something.
   I keep getting dizzy and i'm finding it hard to think straight. I can be okay one second and the next it's brought me to my knees. I'm not one to go to doctors, I hate them just like I hate hospitals, but I know this is a serious problem that only seems to get worse as time goes on. I just hope no permanent damage has been done before I get to the doctors, I don't think it'd be an easy adjustment if I was only able to rely on one ear.

   Straight up, this sucks so much. Just gotta get through today and then find out what is wrong with me tomorrow.

Damn, sounds nasty. I was deaf in one ear last year for about 3 days after a diving trip in greece, it can drive you crazy. I'm no expert on medical matters but I had similar pains a few years ago, I'd have to pull over to the side of the road because the entire left side of my face was so painful, that came down to a wisdom tooth burrowing it's way into a nerve. Hope you find out what it is.

Just hope that the worst is behind you and that it's nothing lasting. Maybe the doctors can shed some light on the situation.
