A Blog About... Nothing...
I find I'm dumb-struck with regards to thinking up something to fill this blog with. Not just this one, but all of them lately. Everytime I try to come up with something, I draw a blank. My blogs have never been too creative but it feels like I've got some kind of writers block. Is that even possible? Now, I know that with this passage about my block, I actually contradict the block, because no block is blocking me from writing about the said block, BUT, let's look passed this, yes?
Let us start with what I know. I watched the second and third installments of the Bourne Trilogy this morning. I previously said I didn't know who recommended them to me, but Wuch told me it was him and so I thank him for that. The second one was good and the third was great, the first was pretty damn awesome too. Now I'm in the process of looking for something else to watch.
I've been playing COD since it's release. Not all that much as I'd like, but I grow tired of it quickly. Since I've been playing though, I've never once had a terrible connection. The worst being two yellow bars occassionally when I play with people from across the pond, but it never really effects me as I still do consistantly well. I not long finished a game where my connection was one red bar, and it was laggy as hell, I was shooting people and they were dying a few seconds after I'd reloaded, t'was horrid. I've seen people play with that kinda connection and I was wondering how the heck they put up with it? It's crazy.
I play on a 2mb connection. I used to run on a 6mb but it never connected as well to over people. I don't mean by NAT, but just by speeds. This one runs perfectly as it is, but I got a letter saying that come January, they're hooking me up with 8mb for no extra cost. Generous of them. I get my internet from a different company than my phone. My phone company is offering free-broadband with my phone package, which I don't want at all... They phoned me up and tried explaining to me how it was free and thus better than what I had. I spent 15minutes talking to this clown who was insistant on trying to switch me from who I am with, I eventually got fed up with the blatant pressure he was trying to place on me and stressed that I was happy with paying for what I had and then hung up on him. It's not the first time I've had a cool from these people, but they're annoying as hell, and if they talked to my aunt, they'd have made her switch, she is easily swayed when she doesn't know what she's talking about. And the internet is just beyond her knowledge.
I'm lacking games for my PSP, I bought a 4Gb memory card, which I'm waiting to be delivered, along with the game "Metal Gear Solid : Portable Ops" I've seen some screenshots and it looks awesome, can't wait for it to get here. Unfortunately, with it being the Christmas period, the post is slow as hell and I'm gon' be waiting the longest time. I've been looking online for some "apps" for my PSP, notepad, that kinda thing and ended up taking a deeper look into the whole Homebrew thing. It's more of less a modified version of the OS it uses and allows you to play homemade software on the console as well as add new applications. Sounds good, though there is a downside, if you fail, you "Brick" the console and end up with what many sites refer to as "an expensive paperweight"
My problems lies within the curiousity I'mma have if the memory card comes before the game. If the game comes first, I'll be happy and content until I fill my library of new games. However, if the mem. card comes first, I'mma want to try and Homebrew it and get some old-school console emulators on it so I can play Road Rash on the move, WOOOO-YEAH!, I'm not the luckiest guy in the world though, and I've got a feelin' I'mma mess it up through doing this... Has anyone had any experience with this? If so, how easy was it to do?
Metal Gear shall be awesome, the whole online thang too, will be cool. I love the MGS series, it was a shame 3 was PS2 only and that 4 will be PS3 only. And on top of all that, MGS2, Substance for the original Xbox is NOT backwards compatible, that's goddamn stupid. At least I got the GameCube version of the first Metal Gear Solid to tide me over, Twin Snakes, as it's known. Great game, love it. POW.
I don't think I got much else to say, well I didn't have anything to say in the first place, but I think I managed to pull it out the air with this junk. I went to see my niece today, came home before going to the shop. My little brother has been complaining all morning of feeling sick, I thought he was putting it on to be honest, that was until he decided to be sick in the shop, haha. I should've believed him I guess, but meh, he's fine, he's drained though, fast asleep, I hope he's not coming down with anything, it'd suck if he got ill over Christmas.
I guess that'll do for now, I got nada for y'all to read. I'll leave you with a line I find awesome, from none other than the FSR song "Welcome To The Internet"
"Trippin' balls in bathroom stalls,
Waitin for a fine ass bitch to call,
The THC hits my CPU,
And I'm chasin' after dimes like an Orthodox Jew,
Plug-'n'-play a bitch, I'm a player bitch,
Like some virus shit, countin' web site hits,
My Punisher fan grill is illin',
When I see you on the street, your shit will be spillin',
I'll infect you with Sasser and MS Blaster,
Pop-ups be poppin up faster and faster,
I master a DAT tape full of raw raps, perhaps,
My shit make your whole crew collapse,
All you hackers, who gettin' on my case,
Coaxke is here, and I'll reformat your fuckin face."
The Last part in red being my favourite :D
