I don't know... This is a weird topic. If it's colour co-ordinated, I like it. If it's baggy and long, I'll like it. However, I can't stand tight-jeans, that look is horrible in my opinion.
Last night I decided to finish up Splinter Cell : Double Agent. A month away from the new one (near enough) I figured I'd need to complete DA on the 360 so I'm not missing anything. Playing through, loved the game, I don't know why I'd never managed to play it for too long before. Probably due to online games such as Halo, and COD, and PGR.
Anyway, I got to the last mission (There is one afterwards but it's very short) in which I had to start by either shooting my boss (who was undercover as an arms dealer so that Sam could get his equipement) who had been captured and worked out to be a government operative. So in a room, my terrorist boss, gives me a gun, one bullet, Lambert, my proposed target, and Jamie Washington, the man who is going to shoot me if I don't shoot Lambert are in the room. Keep my cover by shooting him, or take the hard route and shoot Jamie. Funnily enough, I couldn't bring myself to shoot Lambert, considering it's just a game, I felt like I knew Lambert too much to be able to cold-bloodly shoot him for a mission. I guess I've grown too attached to my third echelon boss over the course of the last four games.
I always seem to do the same thing though, even in a game, I can't allow someone to die in cold blood or to be shot due to something I've caused. It would appear I have an soft spot for saving lives, unless it's me who is taking them. I guess that's the thing with stealth games, you can get around without killing anyone but your intended target if you're good enough. And that's what I always try to do, except when I'm playing Hitman, in which I like to try and silently kill as many people as I can without a single body being discovered. "Traditions Of The Trade" on Hitman Contracts, I can kill every single person on the map without being discovered, awesome right?
I liked the Thief game that came out on the original Xbox a few years back. Although I never did manage to finish the game due to it scaring the crap outta me on one mission in which I had to help child ghost to rest her spirit, whilst avoiding the super-enraged bad guy ghouls who were roaming the abandoned psychiatric hospital. I couldn't even bring myself to play it in broad daylight, there was something weird about it, the deadly silence, the slithering along the floor and the slight moaning sound they made as they went about their wandering. Mixed in with the fact that the goddamn S.o.Bs couldn't actually be killed, wooo, just couldn't mess with that. The game played like a crude medievel version of Splinter Cell, infact, I'd be pretty surprised if they didn't use the same engine.
Speaking of games though, hopefully, I shall receive my copy of Burnout Paradise tomorrow. Infact, need to check my e-mail. And yes, here we are... My order was being processed this morning, which should, if I'm lucky, again mean, I get my game a day before release. Which also means I'll be able to get in a little practice before I teach Cookie the meaning of defeat! Hahahahaha.
Last night, I gracefully enter the lobby of COD with Cookie, FancyToad, Wuch, and some others, minding my own business, when that evil Cookie calls me out, claiming she's going to destroy me on Burnout... I was shocked, it was a unprovoked attack on me for no reason. Up until that point I had assumed I was going to beat her, but I don't know, I think she just may want it more! It's gonna be such a downfall from her when I win, again, and again, and again... Looking forward to the game though, keep me busy for a month whilst I wait for Splinter Cell.
I can't think of anything else I'm looking forward to this year, other than GTA I guess, but even that is just something to pass the time. I swear to god, I will be P*ssed the hell off if the multiplayer on Splinter Cell doesn't work well. They had the system fine in Pandora Tomorrow, it was a little one sided for the Mercs when you were trying to grab them, but that got fine-tuned in Chaos Theory. That game was a master piece and I can see myself going back to it and playing that if they haven't fixed Convictions. Double Agent was a travesty, Next Generation gaming and they can only bring one game type to the table? Remove the weapons that helped even it out for the spies, and limit what you can carry? Screw Ubisoft, this is their last chance with me goddamnit it.
Anyways, I think that's all for me, for now... I think I'll go get something to eat, get comfortable and watch the rest of Series 4 of One Foot In The Grave, then 5 and 6 too, I DON'T BELIEVE IT! That show is too awesome, anyone else sad when he died? So y'all have a good day now.
